Spaghetti-western writer dies aged 90

OSCAR-nominated screenwriter Furio Scarpelli, who co-wrote the spaghetti-western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, died yesterday, aged 90.

The writer, who had been suffering from heart problems, died at his house in Rome shortly after midnight.
