Serbian population falls by 400,000

preliminary census results show Serbia’s population has shrunk by nearly 400,000 people in less than a decade, officials said.

Serbia has just over 7.1 million people, compared to nearly 7.5m in 2002. The decline is mainly due to low birth rates and mass emigration.
