Serbian fires prompt call to pray for rain

Several hundred people yesterday answered a call by a Serbian Orthodox church bishop to pray for rain as fires rage in the Balkan country.

The prayers in the town of Valjevo, in central Serbia, were held after months of high temperatures and drought.
