The boxer, who was convicted of the assault of three men near a brothel in 2007, was given the order by a court in Malaga as they knocked back his plea to suspend the sentence.

The 35-year-old has been given just two weeks to comply with the demand to begin serving his jail sentence.

Should Harrison fail to travel from Scotland to Spain to start his term before the deadline, the court will enact proceedings to forcibly have him sent to the country.

However, Harrison will be able to choose the jail in which he can serve his time in.

Harrison was found guilty of the triple assault in October at a one-day trial in the Spanish city.

The incident, which took place on May 20, 2007, saw Harrison sentenced to four years for serious assaults on two men. An third minor assault resulted in a fine.

The order from Judge Julian Javier Cruz stated: “There will be no concession towards Scott Harrison so he benefits from a suspension of his sentence, because it exceeds two years.

“He is to be informed he must enter prison voluntarily in a maximum time limit of 15 days. If he does not enter prison voluntarily, he should be detained and brought to prison.”

Harrison has already served 30 months in Spanish jails for an assault of two men, including a police officer, in October 2006 while on a night out with late uncle Jack McGill.
