Russian spy given 18-year sentence

A RETIRED colonel from Russia’s counter-intelligence agency was convicted in Moscow yesterday of spying for the United States and sentenced to 18 years in prison.

A District Military Court spokeswoman said Valery Mikhailov would be stripped of his rank.
