Robin Williams death confirmed as hanging

MARIN County Sheriff’s office have confirmed that Robin Williams died from hanging.

Speaking in a press conference, Lt Keith Boyd, revealed that the oscar winning actor was found suspended by his closest door with a belt latched around his neck.

He was last seen by his wife at 10.30pm the night before and she left the following day believing he was asleep in his room.

Williams was found by his assistant at around 11.45 Monday morning, still fully closed in a seating position.

He was pronounced dead at 12.02pm.
