A PLANE passing through UK airspace made an emergency landing yesterday after reports of chemical fumes in the cabin.

The American Airlines' Boeing 767 from Paris was being handled by UK air traffic control firm Nats when the crew asked permission to divert. The plane landed safely at Iceland's Keflavik airport.
