Part of White House evacuated after ‘smoke seen’

PART of the White House has been evacuated after reports that smoke was spotted emerging from an electrical closet.

The West Wing of the iconic building was cleared after an indication of danger to President Barack Obama, according to CNN and Fox News.

Mr Obama’s Oval Office and offices belonging to high-ranking staff are located in theWest Wing adjacent to the main White House. Reports that fire trucks were at the scene remain unconfirmed.
