Paris Hilton ‘demanded £56k for Scots DJ gig’

A Scottish bar owner was left stunned after Paris Hilton told him she wanted £56,000 as a fee for DJing for an hour at the opening of the new establishment.

The socialite told owner Tony Cochrane that she wanted a chartered jet for her and six staff - costing £15,000 - as well as accommodation in a five-star hotel.

But Cochrane laughed off the demands, telling The Sun: “Does she think this is Las Vegas? I thought there was a dot in the wrong place - I couldn’t believe it.

“We’ve had lots of celebrities in the past like JLS and Olly Murs but this is the highest fee I’ve ever been quoted.”

Cochrane, who owns lapdancing chain Private Eyes, had planned on bringing the reality TV star to the launch of Sing City, a karaoke bar in Aberdeen.

But he pulled the plug on his plans after the heiress revealed her demands.

And Cochrane added: “We’ve been fortunate enough to get proper DJs like The Prodigy and Roger Sanchez.

“Then you’ve got a pretend DJ wanting that kind of money and to bring a big entourage of nobodies. It’s laughable.”

Last December, Hilton claimed she was among the top five best-paid DJs after appearing at events in Ibiza and Brazil, incurring the wrath of music fans and internationally renowned DJs including Paul Oakenfold.
