Paris airports hit by controller strike

FLIGHTS at Paris' two main airports were being hit by an air traffic controllers strike today.

The DGAC aviation authority said 15% of flights to and from Charles de Gaulle and half of flights to and from Orly would be cancelled.

The strike is expected to end tomorrow morning.

Controllers are protesting over job cuts and reforms that they fear could change their status as French civil servants.

The airports have also seen delays in recent days linked to snow.
