Palestinians stand ground over talks

PALESTINIAN negotiators are sticking to an end of January deadline in talks with Israel despite calls for flexibility.

The Palestinians said they wanted to hold Israel to a timeline that might pressure it to come forward with proposals, but the tight schedule could prevent talks getting off the ground.
