NZ signs formal pact with Nato

New Zealand has signed a partnership agreement with Nato, meaning it will co-operate on issues such as military training and intelligence.

Prime minister John Key said the agreement formalised and built on a relationship that goes back to 2003, when New Zealand first sent troops to Afghanistan.
