Man saws off arm, drives 10 miles to re-attach it

A MAN who sawed off his own arm managed to drive for 10 miles to a hospital and have it re-attached

The Hungarian, identified only as Tibor A, sliced his arm off at the elbow while cleaning a machine that processes contruction rubble.

Clutching his severed limb, the 37-year-old drove to a hospital in Vienna, where plastic surgeons successfully re-attached the limb.

Medics said that only the man’s state of shock prevented him from bleeding to death.

The accident took place in Purbach, eastern Austria.
