Israel designs more robust grenade

STATE-owned firm Israel Military Industries has developed a grenade that won’t explode when hit by shrapnel, bullets or even if exposed to fire.

Moshe Elert, a senior official with the company, said the new mechanism could save soldiers’ lives. The new technology is being sold to friendly armies.
