Hungary ready for talks with the EU

Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orban, said yesterday his government was ready to negotiate objections to its new constitution with the European Union, but was waiting for “not political opinion, but arguments”.

The EU threatened action over a new constitution which is seen as curtailing legal and banking independence.
