Gas signals nuclear reactor problem

Officials at the tsunami-damaged Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant in Japan have detected a radioactive gas that could indicate a problem at one of its reactors.

Operator Tepco said xenon gas had been found in a reactor. There was no rise in the reactor’s temperature or radiation levels.
