Gaddafi son ‘should face trial in Libya’

Libya expects the International Criminal Court (ICC) to agree Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the most prominent son of the country’s late leader, can be tried in his home country, where he could face the death penalty, the justice minister has said.

The Hague-based ICC issued an arrest warrant for Saif after he and others were accused of involvement in the killing of protesters during the revolt that toppled his father in August.
