‘Fritzl’s Cellar’ pub plan is cancelled

Polish authorities have cancelled the lease for a pub that was to be named after Josef Fritzl, an Austrian man serving a life sentence for locking his daughter in a basement, raping her and fathering seven children by her.

A businessman had planned to open “Fritzl’s Cellar” in Warsaw’s elegant Nowy Swiat street as a “publicity stunt”.
