Four–year–old shot friend in the head in New Jersey

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD child has shot a six-year-old in the head, seriously injuring them when the weapon discharged as they played together, police said.

The child got the .22 calibre rifle from inside his home in Toms River, New Jersey. It was discharged around 6:40pm local time on Monday, county prosecutor Joseph Coronato said yesterday.
