Fears over leak at Japan nuclear plant

TONS of radioactive water are reportedly being moved from one temporary storage tank to another at Japan’s crippled nuclear plant after signs of leakage were detected.

Tokyo Electric power Co (TEPCO) estimated that 120 tons of water are believed to have breached the inner linings of the tank. It is thought that little of the water has leaked into the soil.

The process of moving the water to another tank could take several days.

The leak was detected by TEPCO earlier this week.
