Death-run girl’s gran charged

PROSECUTORS have charged a grandmother with murdering her grandchild by forcing her to run to death.

According to Alabama prosecutors, 46-year-old Joyce Garrard and 27-year-old stepmother Jessica Mae Hardin forced nine-year-old Savannah Hardin to run for three hours before she collapsed.

Garrard, who could face the death penalty, allegedly lost her temper when Savannah ate chocolate, officials said.
