China and EU agree more defence talks

The European Union and China are to begin holding regular talks on defence and security and are looking at boosting co-operation on anti-piracy missions off Somalia.

An agreement was made yesterday during the third session of the EU-China Strategic Dialogue in Beijing, a forum meant to deepen ties between the trading partners.
