Bus plummets over bridge killing 16

A BUS driver lost control, sending his vehicle plummetting over a snow-covered bridge in southern China yesterday, killing at least 16 people.

About 50 people were aboard the bus when it crashed, including 30 who were rescued, the Xinhua News Agency said. There were no immediate reports on injuries. The bus had been travelling from the central province of Anhui when it plunged into a valley 30ft below.
