Bosnian commander in cruelty case dies

THE wartime commander of the Bosnian Army, General Rasim Delic, has died, it was reported yesterday.

Delic, 61, was awaiting a decision in his appeal against a three-year jail term handed down in 2008 by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.

The tribunal convicted him of cruelty to Serb prisoners.
