Amazon protest at Ecuador’s capital

More than 1,000 indigenous protesters have reached Ecuador’s capital after a two-week march from the Amazon to oppose plans for large-scale mining on their lands.

The protesters were joined by anti-government protesters in Quito. Police said four officers were injured in violence.
