Al–Qaeda blamed for Syria bombs

UNITED Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said he believes al-Qaeda must have been behind a huge terrorist attack in Syria last week.

The twin suicide car bombs outside a military intelligence building in Damascus on 10 May bore the al-Qaeda-style tactics seen in neighbouring Iraq. Some 55 people died and dozens were injured in the blasts.
