After 21 years, Suu Kyi to say thanks for Nobel Prize

Burma’s most famous political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi will finally get the chance to say “thank you” for the Nobel Peace Prize she was awarded 21 years ago today.

Suu Kyi landed in the Norway last night ahead of the speech that many thought she would never be permitted to make.

The 66-year-old democracy activist plans to thank the Nobel committee and the people of Norway tomorrow for the prize she won in 1991.
