7 security staff are killed in bomb attacks

TWIN roadside bombs killed seven Afghan security personnel in the east of the country, while insurgents destroyed a convoy of trucks ferrying supplies for Nato-led troops.

The blasts in eastern Kunar province on Sunday destroyed two vehicles, killing four intelligence officers, one policemen and two private security guards.

Kunar province lies close to the border with Pakistan and is believed to be a stronghold of Taliban and al-Qaida linked insurgents.
