18 revellers feared dead as boat capsizes

India: At least 18 New Year's revellers, including seven children, were feared drowned after an overcrowded boat capsized in a river, officials said today.

About 29 people were on board the small boat when it capsized late last night in West Bengal. Fishermen rescued 11 people.
