Worker hurt as gunmen raid East Renfrewshire shop

POLICE are hunting two armed men who robbed a newsagent’s shop in East Renfrewshire.

The men entered McColl’s in Eaglesham Road, Clarkston, around 9.30pm on Friday, demanding money. The gun was not fired and the men left with a quantity of cigarettes and a small amount of cash.

An 18-year-old male shop worker was taken to Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow to be treated for a minor head injury.
