Woman rescued from house fire

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a house fire.

Firefighters were called to the blaze on the ground floor of a property in Cockburn Drive, Ormiston, East Lothian, at about 4am yesterday.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said the victim was treated for smoke inhalation.
