Woman repeatedly attacked by man in Fife street

A WOMAN has been injured after she was assaulted in the street by a man who repeatedly struck her.

The 37-year-old was walking alone on Hill Crescent in Cupar, Fife, at around 4am when the attack took place.

Police said the man struck her on the body a number of times with an item he was carrying,

Detective Sergeant Paul Dick said: “The woman sustained minor injuries but was clearly shaken and upset by the incident.”

The man is described as around 20 to 30 years old, 5ft 5ins, with brown hair. He was wearing a blue top and jeans and was last seen walking towards West Port.
