Woman killed by train at Paisley Gilmour Street
A WOMAN has been killed after being hit by a train near Paisley.The incident happened between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street shortly after 2pm today (Friday).Disruption was experienced between the two stations until 5pm.A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Our officers were called to the line at Paisley Gilmour Street station shortly after 2pm on Friday, 13 February, following reports a person had been struck by a train.“Colleagues from Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service also attended, but a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.“Officers are trying to identify the woman, whose death doesn’t appear to be suspicious, and inform her family. A full report will be submitted to the local Procurator Fiscal.”
