Woman indecently assaulted in capital

A YOUNG woman has been indecently assaulted in a stairwell as she made her way home from a night out.

The 20-year-old was attacked by a man who followed her into a block in Barclay Terrace, in Edinburgh’s Bruntsfield area, and forced her to the ground, police said.

The incident happened at at about 3am on Friday.

Officers have been speaking to residents and examining CCTV footage to try to identify the attacker, who is thought to be in his early to mid twenties, has short, dark-brown hair and wore a dark leather jacket and baggy jeans.
