Woman hit by motorbike stolen by pair

A COUNCIL leader has made a plea for information after a woman was knocked down by a stolen motorbike being 
ridden by a pair of boys as young as ten.

The 23-year-old victim was unable to step out of the way of the bike as the youngsters drove it along Burnside Path, near to the Asda supermarket, in Livingston.

She sustained cuts and bruises and was taken to hospital following the crash, which took place at 5.15pm on Wednesday.

The bike was stolen from a property in Clement Rise in Livingston earlier that day.

Witnesses had seen the bike being ridden by two boys aged around ten and 13, both between 4ft to 4ft 6in tall.

West Lothian Council leader John McGinty, said: “This was an extremely dangerous act. Anyone with information on this incident should contact the police as soon as possible.”
