Woman found dead after Dunfermline house fire

POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman's body was found in a house in Dunfermline following a fire.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Inchkeith Drive in the Fife town, at around 9.30pm last night.

Fife Constabulary said the fire is being treated as "unexplained".

No-one else was injured.

Detective Sergeant Colin Robson said: "Enquiries into this, as yet unexplained fire, are at an early stage and I would take this opportunity to appeal for any person who may be able to assist the investigation to contact the police."
