Ms Pilley, from the Stenhouse area of Edinburgh, failed to turn up for work in the city centre on May 4.

Police unearthed CCTV footage of the 38-year-old bookkeeper outside her Thistle Street office on the morning she vanished.

A man appeared in court earlier this week charged with her murder.

David Gilroy, 47, was released on bail after appearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Gilroy, who previously said he had a relationship with Ms Pilley, was also charged with breach of the peace.

Ms Pilley's body has not been found, but police believe it has been dumped in remote Argyll countryside.
