Woman in blaze drama

A WOMAN was treated for smoke inhalation and chest pains following a blaze in a flat in Great Junction Street yesterday evening.

The 20-year-old received oxygen from fire crews before being taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The fire broke out in a second-floor flat at around 6pm and firefighters used breathing kits and a line of hose to extinguish the blaze.

Fire crews also vented the common stair of smoke.
