We’ll show true grit as winter bites

STAFF from the council’s South West Neighbourhood team rolled out their new fleet of snow equipment today ahead of the expected big freeze.

The city council has invested in new snow mobiles, 4x4 gritters and thousands of tonnes of grit to prevent a repeat of last year’s chaos.

Environment leader Councillor Robert Aldridge met the teams as they familiarised themselves with the gear in preparation for the winter ahead.
