We’d be off our trolley to miss the new Athens route

Greek traditional dancer Christine Stafytarakis and easyJet passenger Neil Moffat were celebrating the company’s first direct flight from Edinburgh to Athens yesterday.

It came as the budget airline announced two new routes out of Edinburgh. It will introduce flights to Dalaman in Turkey, following the collapse of Holidays4u earlier this year. And a new service to Naples – the first direct flight from Scotland – is expected to be a popular sun and city destination in addition to providing a further link for Scotland’s Italian community.
