Water woman police appeal

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Taiwanese women was found unconscious in the Water of Leith and rushed to hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.

The 23-year-old woman was found near to Well Court in the Dean Village area, at around 5.15am on Tuesday.

The woman is known to have arrived at Waverley Station from London at around 8pm on Monday.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who thinks they may have seen her in the Well Court area or around Waverley Station is urged to come forward."
