Waste centre builder hunt

Efforts are under way to identify a contractor to build a waste treatment facility for Edinburgh and Midlothian councils.

The plant will treat around 110,000 tonnes a year of residual waste.

A notice has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union announcing that Zero Waste: Edinburgh and Midlothian is seeking to procure residual waste treatment facilities. A site near Millerhill has been identified for the plant.
