Volunteers spring into action on Royal Mile

VOLUNTEERS were out in force to give the Royal Mile a good spring clean. Margaret Denney, Karen Fusco and Katie Swann played their part in scrubbing graffiti and picking up litter along the thoroughfare.

Lesley Hinds, city environment convener, said: “The Royal Mile clean-up is a great example of how the council can work together with organisations and communities to spruce up an area and combat particular issues.”
