Violent sex fiend jailed

A SEX attacker who subjected his teenage victim to violence and humiliation has been jailed for two years.

A jury at the High Court in Edinburgh had found Ryan Tully, 20, of Niddrie Marischal Place, guilty of assaulting the girl, then aged 16, with intent to rape her at a house in the city on August 7, 2010.

The trial heard how Tully threatened her, punched her and pulled off her clothes.

As well as the sentence of detention, Lord Tyre ordered Tully’s name to remain on the sex offenders register for ten years.
