Village plans festive fun

A VILLAGE in West Lothian has released details for its first ever Christmas festival.

Kirknewton’s festive celebrations will run from December 2 up to Christmas Day itself.

Co-ordinated by the Kirknewton Community Development Trust, it involves several village organisations, including the local school and churches.

The trust’s officer, Tony Foster, said: “The idea is to support the work of the community volunteers and regular events in the village and help give them a chance to be a success.

“By bringing all the events together, we have the start of something we can build on.”
