The View from a bridge: Bungee business takes big leap into the unknown

Songwriter Kyle Falconer braved the heights of Britain's first permanent static bungee jumping operation as part of its official opening yesterday.

Falconer and co-members of Dundee indie band The View gave Highland Fling Bungee a celebrity send-off, plunging some 40 metres from the Garry Bridge, near Pitlochry. Independent economic figures have placed the value of the Highland Fling Bungee operation to the local economy at 7.5 million over the first two years.
