MAJOR events such as the Commonwealth Games, the Homecoming celebrations and the Ryder Cup have gone a long way to showcasing some of the best of Scotland’s food and drink to the world.
In this video blog we find out more about artisan producer Great Glen Charcuterie, who worked with Ochil Foods to supply tasty treats to visitors at The Ryder Cup.
Run by husband and wife team Anja and Jan Jacob, all of Great Glen Charcuterie’s products are produced by hand and air dried, because they are passionate about preserving as much of the unique and unrivalled flavour of wild venison as possible.
The video, which promotes the best of Scotland’s natural larder, sits within the dedicated TV hub, scottishfoodanddrink.tv, where visitors can view clips from top Scottish chefs and producers as well as from some key 2014 events to gain insight into Scotland’s booming food and drink offering.
The major events of the year offered a great stage to showcase Scotland’s wares to the world, shout about our outstanding produce and promote ourselves as a true Land of Food and Drink as we head into 2015 and the opportunities available during a Year of Food and Drink.
