Video: Alex Salmond interviews Prof Peter Higgs
ALEX Salmond has received his share of tough questions, and the First Minister put that experience to use to interview Nobel Prize laureate Professor Peter Higgs.
The Edinburgh University physicist was awarded the Nobel Prize for his role in discovering the Higgs Boson particle, a key discovery in the world of quantum physics.
In the interview, Mr Salmond and Prof Higgs discuss the research undertaken to discover the particle, and Higgs’ links with Scotland.
Salmond announced the winners of the inaugural Higgs Prize for Physics, a schools award named for the physicist.
