Victims in multiple car crash named

Three men who died in a three-vehicle crash on a dual carriageway have been named.

Neil Harold, Gordon McRae and Greig Brown died in the accident on the A8011 in Cumbernauld, on the hill, known as Wilderness Brae, at around 12:45pm on Wednesday.

Mr Brown, 30, from Cumbernauld, was driving a silver Mercedes which collided with a dark-coloured Ford driven by Mr Harold, 34, from Paisley. Mr McRae, 46, from Airdrie, was a passenger in the Ford.

The three men died at the scene.

A light-coloured Fiat also crashed with the cars. The 71-year-old driver was injured and taken to Monklands Hospital but was later released.

Mr Harold is survived by his wife Laura and their two-year old son, while Mr McRae is survived by his wife Lorna and their four children.
