Victims attacked with noxious substance

A PAIR of men wearing balaclavas who forced their way into a flat before spraying two victims in the face with a noxious substance are being hunted by police.

The incident took place around 6.10pm on Saturday in Beechwood Road in Blackburn, West Lothian, when the attackers broke in.

A 35-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were sprayed with the substance before being punched several times in the face and head before the suspects left.

A police spokesman said: “Both men were left badly shaken by what was a terrifying ordeal. Thankfully, neither was seriously injured.

“Anyone who was in or around Beechwood Road on Saturday evening and remembers seeing anything suspicious is asked to contact police.”

The first suspect is described as white with a stocky build, shaved head and wearing black clothing. The second suspect is described as white with a slim build, and wearing all dark clothing.
